Trailblazer Relay 2011

Preston's team heading for the finish line.
Runners of Mass Destruction, Joseph, Carson, Levi, and Chresten
Wolverines - Preston, Cody, Jared, and Brett

This year was the 2nd year that Deb and Tara organized the Trailblazer Youth Relay. In this race teams of 4 run from Bacon Park to the Neola park. About 16 miles. For the second year in a row Carson and his team the "Runners of Mass Destruction" have place 1st in their age division. It is a lot of fun and we hope to be able to do this for years to come!

EAGLE!

Carson has been working on his Eagle project this fall. He had 6 donations to buy benches for the new bus stops around town. Strata, Uintah Basin Medical Center, Northeastern Counseling Center, Stewart's, USU and Grandpa Lynn all bought a bench. Tri-county concrete donated the cement and he had A LOT of help from his uncles and family. Our ward and scout trooped help a lot as well.
He installed the benches at the hospital, in front of Stewart's, at Olde Mill Park, at USU, at the pool and city building. It is fun to drive by and see that people are using them.

She's Home!

In July we made a trip to Idaho to be with family when Bill's niece Kristin returned from her mission. The week before we left Bill and Carson had been at trek. Nate and Monique had their new little guy Dax (aka baby corn) while they were at trek. We offered to take Hylan with us to Idaho and they let us. He did great on the trip and didn't miss is mom and dad at all until it was bedtime. Then he wanted to be home. It was fun to see Kristin and all of the Peters gang. We went for our 'family' walks along the canal. Hylan love the goats across the road.

First Day of School 2011

This year Carson is an 8th grader and will be at RJHS again. Preston will be at RJHS also and will be the first class of 6th graders to be there. His teacher is Mindy Elliott. Mallory is in 3rd grade and her teachers are Mrs. Hyder and Mrs. Goodrich (yes me :)).

Cross Country Fall 2011

New Region Champs
Champs!

Best Buds!

I don't know what I enjoy most about my boys running cross country. I love that their cousins and good friends run and what a GREAT group of kids they participate with. I love that they are developing a life long healthy habit. I love that we are out enjoying the beautiful fall weather we have where we live!
This year Uintah sponsored a regional meet for the kids in Northeastern Utah. Both the Roosevelt girls and boys were the region champions! They all did a GREAT job all season long.
On of my favorite parts of this season was running into my friend Lynaun at some of the meets. Her oldest boy and Carson are just a few months apart and are involved in similar sports.

UEA Weekend

Over UEA weekend this year we went to St. George. We traveled down Wednesday after school and enjoyed the warm weather. On Thursday we rode to Grafton and enjoyed walking through that old pioneer ghost town. I really got a kick out of Mallory and how interested she was in all that we saw there. She kept wanted to see more. Bill's favorite part was the old cemetery. It was well worth the drive.
Friday we met up with Jon and Heather and their family. We spent the afternoon at Snow Canyon and the kids really liked playing in the sand.
That night we went to Tuachan to watch The Little Mermaid.
Saturday morning we got up and traveled home to spend the weekend with my parents who were home for a few days for a training in SLC.
